in the morning everything has changed and I was really eager to walk around this German city. The weather was just right for the intense tour I have planned and in truth I was pretty surprised to find that there was a metro station very in close proximity to my Berlin apartment and I got to the city center within 10 minutes. Because it was Monday, my friends were working during the day and I had to roam alone. That day I planned to visit the Tower, of course, the famous square Alexanderplatz and the Brandenburg Gate. I was very impressed of what I saw, of the contrast between the medieval and the modern buildings, which I have ever thought would be bland, but it was indeed really refined and not irritating. I decided to keep the other attractive points for the rest of my stay when several of my friends will show and tell me more about the real face of the city. I only have heard fantastic things about the parties and the fun aspect of Berlin and just had to try it.Photos of Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz, Berlin

Brussels travel at a glance!

Posted on 15th January 2010

Welcome to my first ever post, it’s about Brussels.

Several months ago I set on a journey to Belgium to meet up with a relative of mine and all of us were truly astonished by the things this European country presents. Being used to wide roads and high-story buildings in the downtown vicinity where I live, this country was a stunning change for me and my friends to travel to such a different country, so much color, a much different lifestyle. That was in any case a breathtaking encounter.

I spent six days in Brussels, Five of which in Madrid. I don’t know about the other cities, but this one was certainly an authentic masterpiece. I fell for it right from the 1st look. The teeny back alleys, the large palace, the galleries, everything was great. Ah and not surprisingly the candies. The cookies there are not anything like what I am accustomed to feeding on, all home-cooked, yummy as if my mother has prepared them. I ate amountain off those while staying in my Holiday apartment in Brussels.
I moved a whole lot around Brussels reflecting on folks, houses, wildlife, all kinds of things about me trying to remember it forever. My journey was certainly worth it and Brussels as well as most of Belgium are an wonderful travel destination and I fervently suggest anyone who has occasion to check out this destination.

Oh and last but not least I made up my mind to save some cash on a lodge and rented a small vacation apartments in Brussels which saved me a great deal of money. I do endorse it. I will tell you more regarding the spots to go to in Belgium in one of my future articles.
