Most visitors to Scotland see the capital, Edinburgh, and then head up to experience the Highlands. Scotland is a diverse and beautiful country, and going off the beaten track gets you away from the tourist traps and the crowds and allows you to experience the best Scotland has to offer.
East Neuk of Fife. The main tourist town in Fife is St Andrews, known the world over as the home of golf. What most visitors miss however is the coast south of St Andrews, home to small fishing villages such as Anstruther, Crail and Pittenweem. The villages are pretty and haven’t changed in centuries and you can still watch the fishing boats land their catch every morning. The fish and chips sold by the harbor in Anstruther is famous throughout Scotland and should be top of everyone’s list of places to eat. There are lots of long, sandy beaches although as the sea temperature is chilly all year round, swimming is only for the hardies of holidaymakers.
Isle of Mull. Just off the west coast of Scotland is Mull, a large island easily accessible by ferry from Oban. Mull has beautiful beaches, mountains and scenery and has much to offer for a family holiday or an activity break. Mull is one of the best places in Scotland for wildlife, and several companies offer trips to spot marine mammals such as whales, dolphins and porpoises. The main town on the island, Tobermory, has all the facilities tourists could wish for.

Orkney Islands. The islands which make up Orkney lie off the north coast of Scotland and at first glance are windswept and bleak. These islands have a tale to tell going back to prehistoric times, and you could easily spend a fortnight visiting all of the archaeological sites on the islands. Don’t miss Skara Brae, which is one of the best preserved Stone Age villages in the world, and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Orkney is also home to many craftspeople and there are numerous small shops selling handcrafted products such as pottery, jewelry, knitted goods and soaps.

Speyside. The valley of the river Spey is whisky making country, and some of the most famous names in the world of Scotch whisky are produced in the area surrounding the town of Elgin. Most of the distilleries have visitor centers and guided tours, and as the area also offers lots in the way out outdoor activities like climbing and walking, it makes a fantastic region for a relaxing break.

Scottish Borders. The area of south east Scotland adjoining the English county of Northumberland offers not only spectacular scenery with rolling hills and pretty towns, but lots of history too. This disputed territory was the site of dozens of battles over the years and there are numerous castles and abbeys which are all open to the public. Edinburgh is within easy reach of the Borders, making it a perfect day trip to see what the capital city has to offer.

You can suppose how sad I was when I had to leave Berlin .
I had so much fun there, I was non-stop in different places, I’ve found many pleasant people, I danced all night on the best party I have ever been in my life and at present I can say that Berlin has become one of my beloved places, specifically when you think about the festivities. Besides, I visited the chief sights, like the preserved part of the wall, the Checkpoint Charlie, some of the monuments and galleries. Don’t think that I spent a week in parties and sleepless nights. I even made a dinner one evening for my friends in my apartment in Berlin. The fact that there was a kitchen really made things easier for me, because I wanted to make something particular for the people who were so nice to guide me around the town and show me zones that I couldn’t see if I was by myself. In this aspect I have to tell that am truly pleased of my choice of Berlin Accommodation, because it was truly ideal for me for moving around, it was in several minutes from the main interesting places and the Apartments in Berlin was very pleasant, clean and ideal for my taste.
As a conclusion, I can only wish you to enjoy such exciting and full of emotions and experiences getaway as the one I had. I am sure that this is not my last trip to Germany and definitely to Berlin, I just loved this city with all its aspects, strange and funny people, the great history and culture. Stay tune for my next journeys in some other interesting country. For further information on Berlin, make sure you follow up regularly on Deutsche Welle – The German BBC that is
And now I can safely repeat Kennedy’s words:
Hi Again,
I hope it was interesting for you to read about my adventures in Germany, so this is the next part of my Berlin story. As have understood in my last article I had a whole week in Berlin, so I wished to view the town bit by bit. What I’ve planned was to head to the significant sites, of course, but I didn’t want to become just a tourist, but to experience the real atmosphere, to interact with a lot of people and realize how they live, what they typically love to do and have fun, you know, I wanted to get inside tips, not the same stuff and boring facts about the history, the wall and the history that we all know.
DO NOT miss Checkpoint Charlie!
So, my idea was to view so many things that I apparently had no time for resting and went back to my Apartment Rental Berlin only to take a shower and a nap to be prepared and relaxed for the next lively and fun day. When I take a trip I like the dynamics and want to enjoy as much as possible for the days I have in the particular destination. And Berlin really presented me the chance for one vibrant and, at the same time, really interesting trip, not the usual holiday, because it was very intense and busy. The German capital is multicultural, here you can interact with people from any country you can think of, there are many young people who learn or work or just have fun and that’s why this city is so desirable and exciting. There is always something extremely interesting going on, whether it would be a concert, an exhibition, a great restaurant or bar, opera etc. Thank god I booked a really reasonable apartment hotel in Berlin, because otherwise it would have been so annoying to spend a lot of money for an apartment that I barely used.
I’m writing here to show how amazed I am of Berlin and about the enjoyable time I got In Germany’s capital a week ago. I have wished to make a trip to this intriguing country in the heart of Europe for a long time, so I took the first possibility of a spare time I had and chose to visit Berlin. I have a couple of mates there and after various preparations and not so nice flight, I arrived in my Vacation accommodation in Berlin for the next week. I wasn’t actually sure where i was, I solely remember that I really needed a bathroom and a bed, that’s all; and actually got several regrets that had started this journey.

in the morning everything has changed and I was really eager to walk around this German city. The weather was just right for the intense tour I have planned and in truth I was pretty surprised to find that there was a metro station very in close proximity to my Berlin apartment and I got to the city center within 10 minutes. Because it was Monday, my friends were working during the day and I had to roam alone. That day I planned to visit the Tower, of course, the famous square Alexanderplatz and the Brandenburg Gate. I was very impressed of what I saw, of the contrast between the medieval and the modern buildings, which I have ever thought would be bland, but it was indeed really refined and not irritating. I decided to keep the other attractive points for the rest of my stay when several of my friends will show and tell me more about the real face of the city. I only have heard fantastic things about the parties and the fun aspect of Berlin and just had to try it.

Me and my friends slept in a new Brussels Apartments just about a week still my mate Mikka aided me study the locals, attend in parties with these, talk with them and that was a fantastic life experience. What occurs typically is that a traveler goes to a city, goes to the main buildings and afterward comes back to show photos. Our vacation to Brussels was something distinct. I got to stay by ourselves in a Brussels Accommodation which was a real bargain since we could celebrate in it with our brand new Belgian close friends, it was near to the center therefore We ended up saving cash on cabs and used it prudently on liquor .
